Tasks of the radiation protection group:
- Managing and developing the personal dosimetrical surveillance system
- Providing the duty of radiation protection in the Training reactor
- Registering the external and internal doses of the employees
- Developing radiation detection systems (i.e. SVER - Radiation Protection Monitoring System, OSJER - National Radiation Protection Warning and Monitoring System)
- Environmental sampling and monitoring:
- Sampling aerosol filters
- Ingathering and measuring fallout
- Radionuclid-specific examination of vegetation and soil
- Measuring radioactivity of water from Danube
- maintaining the local station and server of OSJER (National Radiation Protection Warning and Monitoring System)
- Registration and classification of solid and liquid radioactive wastes
- Calculating doses of extended radiation sources
- Organising and conducting basic and extended level radiation protection courses
