Introduction

His carrier started at University of Debrecen in 1978 and the researcher and lecturer activity has continued since 2008 in the Institute of Nuclear Technique at BME as associate professor and head of Department of Nuclear Energy. His scientific interest focused on the X-ray spectroscopy, but since 2008 he deals with development of nuclear spectroscopic methods for safeguards inspections and radioanalytical applications in nuclear power plants. In the period of 1980-2016 he worked as quest researcher in different university departments and has more than 10 years’ experience in the research field of synchrotron based X-ray investigations on inner structure and 3D distribution of elementary compositions of biological objects. He is the leader of an analytical group at NTI and the last 10 years they developed new spectrometric devices and procedures for the nuclear industry and the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority.
